What exactly don't you understand about 4th grade math worksheets for simple algebra adding and sub? I remember having problem with the same thing in Remedial Algebra, so I might be able to give you some suggestions on how to approach such problems. However if you want help with math on a long term basis, then you should get Algebrator, that's what I did in my Intermediate algebra, and I have to say it's the best ! It's less expensive than a private teacher and you can count on it anytime you feel like. It's not hard to use it, even if you never ever tried a similar program. I would advise you to purchase it as soon as you can and forget about getting a math tutor . You won't regret it!

Algebrator really is a great piece of algebra software. I remember having problems with radical inequalities, distance of points and exponential equations. By typing in the problem from homework and merely clicking Solve would give step by step solution to the math problem. It has been of great help through several Algebra 2, Remedial Algebra and Basic Math. I seriously recommend the program.
